Black or classic shungite stones contains 50-70% of C-60 organic fullerene carbons, which many people are using for protection against EMFs in your home or workspace. This shungite can be easily shaped and polished giving it a brilliant shine. It is comprised of minimum 84% carbon, 3.5% nitrogen and oxygen, 6.7% hydrogen and 3.3% ash content.
Most commonly due to the high toxicity we are all facing in this world shungite is being used as a water filtration stone placed in your water filter system, glass water bottle or these stones can be placed in your bath to aid in detoxifying your body through your skin. Shungite baths can be therapeutic in nature and for many years sanatoriums or health spas have existed in Kerala Russia where people come to bath in the natural shungite infused waters. When placed in water, fullerenes in shungite attract and neutralize waterborne contaminants. Shungite has been used commercially in Russia as a water purification stone since the 1990s. Among the list of contaminants it will remove are: bacteria (and other microbes), nitrates, heavy metals, pesticides, volatile organics, pharmaceuticals, chlorine, and fluoride. Its ability to enhance water goes far beyond filtration as demonstrated by the water from Lake Onega near the shungite deposit in Keralia, Russia. Water from the lake can be used today for drinking without any prior treatment this being the result of thousands of years of interaction of the water with shungite in the base of the lake. One of the reasons shungite has the ability to neutralize contaminants is due to the fullerenes within its composition, which hold a tremendous amount of hydrogen. The stone has been documented to have a high oxidative/reductive capacity. Shungite water is known for its antioxidant, anti bacterial and anti biotic effects.
Water Filtration: It is recommended to consume the water within a few days of it being placed with the shungite stones. If the stones have been in contact with water for more than three days, such water is suitable for external use or for your pot plants.
It is recommended to clean shungite stones once every 3 months, because this mineral has a porous surface but doesn’t release toxins back into the water. Please note, there is no need to clean each stone simply rinse all stones under running water an place them in the sun for an hour or two.
How many stones do you need?
It is recommended to use 100 grams/2.82oz of stones per liter of water (33,8 oz).
100 grams : 1 litre water
It is desirable that the vessel for water infusion is made of glass or ceramics. You should drain your shungite water once a day and add the right amount of new water to the same vessel to ensure you are making fresh water overnight for the next day.
Shungite’s absorption qualities are impressive and provides mineralization to the water, is anti-bacterial in nature and hydrogenates your water – making it wetter.
How does shungite make your water wetter?
The fullerenes enable the hydrogen molecules of your water to increase up to 17 hydrogen molecules per oxygen molecule.
It also has bactericidal ( bacteria killing) properties. Shungite is useful for water due to the porous structure of the stone and unique carbon properties – the 60 carbons within the shungite infuse the water with fullerenes.
Please note that only genuine Shungite from the Republic of Karelia in Russia has such abilities. There is no other source of quality shungite. We only sell genuine shungite from the mines of Karelia. See our shungite certification documents here to be sure we are selling the very best quality to you.
